Demon is back on Olympus at last! He’s finally safe from grumpy gods under the earth and under the sea! Now, he can settle into his new job as Stable Boy to the gods! That is, until Medea shows up with a couple of sun dragons who need a place to hide out, and next it’s fire-breathing bull robots needing serious medical attention, and finally, there’s a massive Colchian dragon with, er, some digestive difficulties. There aren’t enough gas masks to go around, and the Olympian goddesses are just one more toot away from a murderous rampage. Will Demon be able to cure the gastronomic apocalypse before all Olympus suffocates from lack of oxygen? If not him, who can?

I loved seeing Demon back in his element, juggling the big personalities of the Olympians and dodging the casual maiming attempts from his personal menagerie. Aphrodite, Ares, and Artemis all make their first big appearances in the series, and they do not disappoint. Also, author Lucy Coats puts the magic healing box out of action, which means that Demon has to get creative with his problem solving and call in a few favors. It’s fun to see him growing more confident in his responsibilities with each new challenge he faces. – Krishni Burns
