Helen of Troy gives her side of the story in a riotous tell-all that claims to give the true story behind the Trojan War. After all, Helen never asked to have every guy in Greece fighting over her, and really, you’d think that someone would have had the sense to think about the consequences of starting a war over her! Helen’s defense gets a little bit self-serving in places, but she’s got a point. Sure, she made a few bad decisions, but she never picked up a sword. I was more than convinced in the end. This book gives a rich introduction to the myth of the Trojan War in an entertaining and age-appropriate way. - Krishni Burns
