This book is from the My First Greek Myths series, and it’s the best of them, in my opinion. It does a surprisingly good job squeezing the whole myth into its few pages, although it leaves out little things like what happened to Ariadne after she played her part in Theseus’ story. The interactive features are still present, but they up their pedagogical usefulness with numbers and colors. The interactive features of this book don’t stop at the sliding elements. For example, there’s a simple maze representing the labyrinth, so that very young pre-readers can help Theseus find his way out. My favorite thing is that the [pre-] reader can change Theseus’ sails from black to white at the end and save his poor father’s life. This book is great for practicing fine motor skills but will continue to be useful as young pre-readers start learning to count and developing simple problem-solving skills. — Krishni Burns
